In 2008 Attraction marketing took off like a rocket, personal branding became the new normal for serious Internet network marketers.
Which is as it should be, how can you expect anyone to join your business if they don’t know who your are or what you stand for.
Fast forward three years and you see some, well, bizarre uses of personal branding. You see people offering ‘copy and paste’ personal branding systems, somehow by sending the very same emails as everyone else using the same system you’re supposed to establish your individuality.
You see odd individuals gyrating around the room, making weird bulging eye faces claiming they will do all of the work for you and give you all of the money.
People making fools of themselves on-line to attract attention to their offer. “Hey, look at me, I can teach you how to look foolish too.”
Then there are those that do it right. Drawing attention to themselves by what they say, not by how they say it. Then actually backing up their offer by delivering what was promised.
Attraction marketing will always be here, in the end, all marketing is about attracting customers to you, whether it’s a shop down town or a site on-line.
The next thrust of attraction marketing will be seeking the calm in the eye of the storm. While most people are jumping up and down in a sea of movement the eye will be drawn to the centers of calm.
“Why are they so calm and confident? Will they show me how? What else can I learn from them?”
Are some of the questions that go through your prospect’s mind.
Think about this,
Are you trying so hard that you appear needy?
Keep it casual.
