That’s not to say you have to be a brain to succeed with network marketing, it means you have to put some thought into it. Regularly, constantly looking for and thinking about ways to grow your network larger.
Call it a thinking person’s no-brain-er. If you get network marketing, really get it, the concept of delayed gratification, the power of leveraging your time, the entrepreneur in your soul grasps for that golden ring unbidden.
Now that you have the vision and a dream, the vision of what you could do with time and money freedom, and a dream of being able to help out family and friends during an emergency, without ever thinking about the cost, how do you succeed in network marketing?
You succeed at network marketing if you have two things and without these two things you may as well give it up and buy a lottery ticket, because you’re wasting your time and money either way. You actually need more than two things but they come from and through the first two.
The first thing you need is an unstoppable work ethic. The unflinching will to work your back side off for weeks and months with little to nothing to show for it but a small check. The power of network marketing is also it’s curse, delayed gratification.
Delayed gratification, working hard now for a future reward or pay off. Like getting student loans for your education, you’re borrowing money you can’t pay back now to learn a set of skills that can earn you more money than you borrowed. Chicken before the egg?
The thing is you live in an instant world, when you want something, you want it now, and can usually get it. Want a burger? Mc Donald’s is right around the corner. Chicken? KFC is just up the road. Coffee? Try to go two blocks without passing a place that sells hot, fresh coffee. Instant gratification.
Here’s the catch, if you want what most people don’t have you have to be willing to do what they won’t do, then work at it and wait for it.
The second thing you need to succeed at network marketing is a focused willingness to think, to use your brain, you know, that lump of gray matter behind your eyes and between your ears.
Easier said than done, especially if you are using the Internet to build your network marketing business. There are too many offers of brain dead easy, no effort required money making schemes. Offers that may or may not work, depending on your existing marketing skill.
The thinking you need to do isn’t very hard, definitely not rocket science, although two former rocket scientists are making big bucks on-line.
Thinking is what you need to do if you want to learn how to market, learn how to lead others down the path to success. You are in essence going back to school, by choice, to improve your lot in life.
