You need targeted leads.
You need responsive leads.
You want laser targeted, highly responsive leads to build your business fast.
You consumed the lead generating courses, you’ve avidly read tons of blog posts on lead generation, and you’ve joined countless email lists promising to teach you lead generation.
And through it all you’ve been amazed at how many different ways there are to say the same thing.
Do Your Research, Then Act On It.
Now, you’ve put the various pieces together in a way that works for you. Leads are starting to come in.
What Now?
Generating leads is the Holy Grail of marketing, every type of marketing, Internet, Affiliate, Network, and so on.
Now that you have leads coming in, are you ready for them? What are you going to do with them?
How is that lead going to make you money?
Are you a Network Marketer prospecting for new members?
Are you an Affiliate Marketer wanting to sell an ebook on elephant training?
When someone enters the Home Based Business arena one of the first things they hear is, “you need leads to make your business grow.”
So they run off to learn how to get leads, without stopping to plan what they will do once they have some leads.
Failing To Plan = Planning To Fail
Do you have a clear plan on what you’re going to do with your hard earned leads?
Beyond the “Welcome to My List” and free gift email?
Network Marketers, how many steps are you going to take before you introduce your Opportunity?
Affiliate Marketers, if your elephant ebook falls flat, do you have one for zebras?
Planning Time
Seriously, take a close look at your email series.
Does B follow A in such a way that your lead has little choice but to do what you want?
Or does your path meander around without a clear-cut destination in mind?
Take a look, you may be surprised at what you don’t find. That one little step could be the thing that is hindering your success.
Do Not Be Denied,
Mike

Hi Mike,
I think people are getting po’d w/getting onto lists and just being sold to and sold to before ever introducing your opportunity. I’ve seen introduce it on the 7th e-mail, introduce it on the 21st.
People are online looking for an opportunity…why not give it to them upfront then follow with the small sales, free value, etc…
In the time others are sending out 7-20 e-mails trying to sell the little stuff, someone else could have already signed them on. The economy is changing and Chris Owen and his mastermind group just confirmed what I had been thinking.
Have an awesome day!

Hey Twlia,
I’ve been on one guy’s list for over six months and I don’t have any idea what or who or even if he’s with any thing.
He says he’s a motivational speaker, I’m barely notivated to open his emails. They are well written from a technical standpoint, like they came out of a manual.
21 emails? That’s three weeks, plenty of time for someone else to steal your thunder.
If someone is looking for a way out of debt, a lousy job, or whatever then they want it now, don’t make them wait.
So I’m thinking, give them your free offer, then one or two emails and introduce your Opp. For the 95 % that say ‘No’, bring it up again on the 21st.
Don’t cram it down any one’s throat, but for crying out loud don’t make them hunt or beg for it.

Many marketers are too obsessed with how to get more traffic that they forget to take care of that traffic once they get it.
Email marketing is what still does the trick for me – staying in touch with your audience, providing value, and yes, giving them what they need – solutions.
Interesting point Twila made about bringing up your biz opp.

Hi Ana,
Every one is so concerned about getting leads but not enough is said about servicing them.
The whole premise of Attraction Marketing is to lead with value, A biz opp can be pretty valueable.
I can picture a scene out of “Network Marketing Nightmares” a brand new horror show I just made up.
‘The day comes, email 21 is delievered. Your prospect calls you up, “Hey, I just got your email, sounds really cool. But, well, this guy I’ve been following for about a week now showed me this other thing yesterday and I signed up.”
A day late and a dollar short.
Sooner is better than later. With all of the value being spread around these days by the time anyone joins your list they are already presold on you, so sell. Or share, whatever.

Hi Michael,
Sounds like a bit of balance is required. Most people have gone from shoving their opp in one’s face to pretending not to even be a network marketer. Bizarre!
Looking after the customers you have is what any business owner knows to do and it’s no different here. Treat leads as if they are already customers and they probably will be!

Hey Marcus,
A little balance and forethought. After doing your market research you should have a pretty good idea what your customers need.
Service their needs and they’ll keep coming back for more.
