What’s the premise of Attraction Marketing? Lay out a bunch of tasty, ready to consume content breadcrumbs to attract Prospects into your sale funnel, and then market to them to your heart’s content. Until they either buy your Product, join your Network Marketing Team, or tell you to get lost by unsubscribing from your list.
Is it, Really?
That’s what I’ve got from the ‘training’ from people talking about Attraction Marketing, don’t get me wrong, I expect them to market to me when I opt in to a list, not on the second email though. Not when the welcome email is,
“Hey, Your Name,
Thanks for joining my list, to get access to your free training enroll at [whichever generic training course they use].
That’s not positioning yourself as an expert by providing good value, that’s saying go listen to Mike Dillard, he knows way more than you do and does something with it.
How To Avoid Being Attraction Marketing’s Greatest Failure
Take the last step, there is something you know how to do well, well enough to talk about and teach to someone else. Figure out what it is, sit down on the couch or in a comfortable chair with a pen and paper, a voice recorder, or a video recorder and talk about it to an imaginary someone who’s just heard about that concept. Or you could sit in front of your computer screen and type it out.
Take what you recorded or wrote down and edit it to your liking. Now you have either some video training to offer or the rough draft of your first e-book, in short your own value to give freely and without want, just like Attraction Marketing teaches.
It doesn’t have to be anything monumental, just something practical and useful. With your own unique take on how it can best be used.
