Attraction Marketing is pretty simple, in theory. Like many simple concepts it is amazing just how many people can do it wrong. But first a basic definition.
Attraction Marketing; Creating pieces of content( blog posts, articles, forum posts, You Tube videos, etc) to attract prospects interested in what you are offering.
That's it, attractive content to promote your marketing.
Your message is supposed to be attractive, not your blog theme, and not your face.
Lately I have been seeing people, claiming to be Attraction Marketers, with these incredibly attractive blogs.
I mean they are great! Professionally designed blog themes, killer graphics, and even Glamour Photos of themselves. Real eye candy. With content that is mediocre at best. Rewritten Private Label Articles barely different from the hundreds of other rewritten articles.
Attraction Marketing is about having attractive content, not a show stopping blog that distracts your visitor with a "Hey there, LOOK AT ME, aren't I pretty?"
How much time, money and effort did they spend making their blogs look good instead of making their content attractive?
That being said, you don't want an ugly blog. Find the middle ground. Something pleasing to your eye that won't upstage your message.
Keep to lighter colored themes, a black blog may look great but is hard to read. And that is what you want, people to read your blog and to take action from it.
Not, " I saw a really cool blog today." What did it say? "I don't remember, but it sure was pretty!"
Remember, Content Is King.
It's not about how pretty your blog or website is, it's about what you are saying. Don't let your message be lost in the media.
