Food is fuel, nothing more, nothing less.
We eat food for energy, to get us where we need to or want to be.
But unlike a car or truck when we fuel up makes a great deal of difference. It’s all in the way that fuel is stored.
In a vehicle fuel is put in the fuel tank, gas or diesel, for use when needed. It just sits there waiting to be used, in the same form.
Not so much the fuel for our bodies. What we don’t use right away, within two and a half to three hours gets saved for later, as fat.
A good rule of thumb is to not eat within three hours of when you plan on going to sleep. This will do two things for your weight.
- You won’t be storing fat.
- You will actually be burning fat for energy while you sleep.
So it comes down to this, “Do you want to build fat or burn fat while you’re sleeping?
Eating shortly before bedtime Equals Weight Gain. Throw in a Midnight Snack and you’ll really pack on the pounds. OR..
Stop eating after Dinner, say 6:00 pm, and don’t eat again until 6:00 am. You’ll burn fat through the night. Not a lot, but some.
Make your Morning Meal a true Break Fast.
The choice is yours, and should be obvious.
Be Fit,
