Now it starts to get interesting, the groundwork is laid, my six-pack is built, but still buried under a few pounds of fat. I now weigh 180 pounds, I actually gained three pounds back last week. Three pounds of lean muscle built, how much fat was burned off? I don’t know or care. Too many people get caught up in the details, their BMI or Body Mass Index, calorie count and calories burned during cardio just to name a few.
I don’t get lost in the details, I don’t know my BMI, I don’t count calories and I definitely don’t deprive myself of treats.
That being said, I do watch portion size and I don’t eat my fill. You might say I leave room for dessert, then don’t eat it. If you want to build and keep six-pack abs you have to learn to control your appetite, stay just a little bit hungry.
For my workout I did my usual core stretching and calisthenics routine followed by nine sets of ten push-ups with 30 seconds of rest between sets.
- 4;30 am I ate two hard boiled eggs and two ounces of grapefruit juice.
- 9:15 am I ate two fried eggs, two sausage patties, two pieces of wheat toast and a medium potato, diced and fried with onion.
- 4:15 pm I ate six Blazin Chunks chicken nuggets and half a cup of mac and cheese.
- 7:30 pm I ate a Grands Sloppy Joe pocket.
I’m still eating a bit too much as my weight gain shows, but my arms shoulders and chest are showing where the gain is.
