Build Six Pack Abs In Four Weeks – Take Two – Day Six
Saturday January 26, 2013
I skipped my core workout today. My system allows for up to three days off in any given week, just don’t take them off all in a row. If you’re not in a very big hurry to build your six-pack abs then every other day works just fine.
To build your six-pack in four weeks you need to do the core stretching workout six days out of the week. I’m in a hurry, so six-days a week is my plan.
I rode my bike 7.75 miles today. Bike riding is great for maintaining your weight but I don’t consider bike riding to be a weight loss activity, unless I plan on riding thirty-five to forty miles at a time. I ride my bike to strengthen my legs and work my cardiovascular system.
I made some poor eating choices the last two days, mostly on purpose to show how you can slip a little bit and still keep going strong. Also because very soon I won’t really be able to make those bad dietary decisions.
When you start to get into better shape your body starts to require, then demand, a better diet. You need to pay attention and listen closely to your body when you eat or drink anything. Not so much for the taste, you probably eat things that taste good to you, but for the way you feel thirty to forty-five minutes after you eat.
Are you sluggish or energized?
If you’re energized you ate the right combination of protein, carbohydrates, and fatty oils, you know a balanced diet.
As an aside and before we go any farther, “Diet” is simply what you eat. It’s the reduced calorie diet to lose weight that makes the word ‘diet’ a four letter word to so many people trying to lose weight.
On the other hand, when you feel slow and sluggish after a meal, and it doesn’t have to be a big meal either, you ate too many carbohydrates compared to your protein intake.
Now as I abused my diet two days in a row I’m paying for it in two pounds gained, net weight loss this week is only four pounds, so far. Playtime’s over, time to get serious, I have to take my one week picture in two days.
Since I’m now listening to what my body needs, not what my taste buds wants, my eating schedule is changing.
I’m going to eat when I’m hungry, sort of. I’m not just going to eat a set times during the day any more. But it’s more than that, I’m going to wait for an hour after I get hungry before I even start to prepare a meal.
- 5:00 am I ate about three ounces of fresh chicken breast chunks, fried without breading, and two ounces of grapefruit juice.
- 12:00 pm I ate a bowl of Tony Chachere red beans and rice, WITH the optional Polish Sausage, about one cup.
- 5:30 pm I ate a fried pork steak, a cup of mashed potatoes with a cup of corn.
- 7:30 pm I had a small bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch
My weight was 181 pounds, four down, eleven to go!
