Build Six Pack Abs In Four Weeks – Take Two – Day Eight
Monday January 28, 2013
This is where it starts to get fun, not the workouts, the results. As I said before, working out is boring, no matter how much fun those infomercials make it look. Just get a lot of very fit people, an upbeat soundtrack and you’re good to go, not.
I did my regular core workout, 22 minutes of stretching and calisthenics, but now that I have my conditioning back it’s time to start adding some resistance training to the mix.
I took my twenty-pound dumbbells and did two arm, shoulder and leg super-sets of ten reps each.
Arm, Shoulder and Leg Super-Sets
- You start out doing ten standard curls,
- after the last curl you move right into ten military presses,
- on the last press you keep your arms extended and do ten French curls,
- after the French curls you do ten straight leg dead-lifts, keeping the weights close to your legs to work your hamstrings,
- you then finish off with ten squats. Rest a minute or two between sets.
In all each super-set takes about three minutes, I normally do three super-sets but I’m out of shape for the moment, not for much longer though!
Total workout time for the day about thirty minutes.
I over-ate a couple of days last week, then on Sunday I made some bad dietary choices, today I paid the piper. I only ate once today. When you overeat your stomach stretches out and can hold more food before you feel full. to fight this you just have to suck it up and feel hungry for a few hours to a day.
2:00 pm I ate a half cup of mashed potatoes, about two ounces of Blazin’ Chunks chicken breast and a peanut butter and strawberry jelly sandwich.
My weight was 180 pounds, five down, ten to go!
