I think I've been missing the boat on Twitter, haven't been paying enough attention to it.
I started trying to change that, you know, following more people and trying to get more followers.
Just how many different ways are there to post an Update? There's Twitterfeed, Tweet Later now Social Oomph, Ping.fm, API, and more I'm sure.
But I'll tell you, it's pretty annoying to go to your Twitter page and see five rapid fired tweets all coming from different sources but saying the exact same thing from the same person.
Retweeting is great, but isn't someone else supposed to retweet you?
I thought social media was supposed to be about sharing, not cramming stuff down people's throats.
I see something once, I might be interested. See it twice I may get annoyed. Four or five times in a row and I'm going to unfollow, fast.
OK, rant over.
Am I still missing the boat? Does bugging the hell out of your followers really work?
How do you use Twitter? Some insights would be great, in the form of a comment.
Do Not Be Denied,
Mike

Hi Michael,
In answer to your question … no I don’t like to be bugged by repetitive tweets … or to bug others by being repetitive.
My choice is to share information that might be useful to network marketers who are trying to leverage the Internet to expand their business presence. It’s a simple content syndication strategy designed to help people increase readership of their blog plus acquire more Twitter followers and Facebook friends.
Thanks for posting this thought provoking article!
Have a great day,
Susan

Hi Susan,
“Trying to leverage the Internet to expand their business presense” yes, that’s what I’m working on. Offering to share things that have helped me.
The sad part is that the people that are just selling could be missing out on sales they could have made if they were sharing value.
Talk about a Catch 22.
Thanks For Your Insight,
Mike

Rapid fire tweets are annoying! I’m guessing they are trying to make sure all of thier 15,000 automated followers see it. The problem is, it’s so annoying that even if I was the most valuable piece of info out there, I would not take the time to read it or share it.
The point of twitter should be posting something, letting others find value in it and let them share it. While it is ok to tweet mutliple times a day, it should be something different than the same old same old, which most of the time is a bizz opp!
Have a great day!

Hey Twila,
What I don’t get is with automation software like Social Oomph you can program up to 12 tweets an hour for free.
I think being spaced out like that they would have a better chance of being noticed, rather than taking up the whole page.
Take Care,
Mike

I love tweetdeck Michael I can schedule tweets, reply, shoot videos and for those rapid fire bandits I can hover over their gravatar go to the tools section and unfollow them right there from the convenience of the tweetdeck interface. I have a video rendering right now I shot for setting up and using tweetdeck that will be posted to my blog soon pop over and check it in hour or so. Take care.

Hey Steve,
Tweetdeck you say? I’ll have to check out your video. It’s kind of funny, tweetdeck is one of the tools the rapid fire people use. Just goes to show you that a tool is only as good as it’s user.
