Back pain affects eight out of ten Americans. Back pain is one of the most common reasons for seeing the doctor or missing work.
To reduce back pain you need to strengthen your stomach muscles.
I just ran across two easy to do exercises that can help to reduce lower back pain.
Lumbar Stabilizer
- Lie flat on your back, arms at your sides.
- Keeping your right leg straight, bend your left leg until your foot is flat on the floor.
- Raise your right leg twelve inches, hold for a three count, lower leg, do nine more times.
- Switch legs and repeat.
Wall Squat
- Stand with your feet a foot from the wall and lean into the wall.
- Tighten your stomach muscles while lowering to a sitting position, hold for five seconds.
- Rise to starting position, repeat nine more times.
These two movements can help lower your back pain when done on a regular basis.
