Get Moving, Get Fit, And Stay Motivated
As the seasons change many of us find it hard to stay motivated to stay fit.
Frigid weather, holidays, and all those neat doodads that make life easier keep us from drawing forth the motivation to get in shape or maintain a daily routine of exercise are definite culprits.
But we should be totally aware of the effects that inactivity has on the body.
Heart disease, stroke or diabetes is just some of the unhealthy affects of inactivity in the body.
Here’s the good news, studies have shown that without exception you can reverse or prevent effects; so if you get off of the couch and DO something, go for regular walks or bike rides it can be very beneficial over time.
Just exercising a little every day or two can significantly lower the risks of these diseases, even without changing your diet.
The first step to motivating yourself is finding or making a way to have fun while exercising.
There are many ways make exercise more enjoyable. Put your exercise bike in front of the T.V. Load upbeat music on your Ipod when running or biking. Make a date with yourself to do something on a regular basis. These are just a few ways to keep moving and motivated.
Making exercise a habit is the best way to stay motivated. Your body will get used to regular work outs and will actually “complain” if you skip too many days.
You possess in your mind the ability to create positive images that lead to actions that let you live a healthy and strong life.
Self encouragement is the best motivation, give yourself pep talks and remind yourself why you work out; six pack, bigger arms, etc. You will thank yourself.
