Republican Senator Jim Bunning of Kentucky has once again blocked emergency action to help over one million unemployed Americans.

Senator Bunninng claims he is helping to stop the Federal Deficit from growing any larger.

Maybe he is feeling guilty about how he voted during the Bush years.

The Bush Administration took a 236 million dollar surplus and turned it into an Eight Trillion dollar deficit in only eight years. And Bunning was right there voting to spend, spend, and spend some more.

Magoffin County in Kentucky has a 21.4% unemployment rate. Since Bunning already has a job and is retiring at the end of the year he doesn't seem very concerned about the 210,000 unemployed Kentuckians.

It seems to be political grandstanding. Trying to set himself up as a hero when he finally gets out of the way and lets the motion pass.
