That was me, not quite four years ago.
I had just finished dropping some sixty pounds, I had weighed 225 pounds about five months previously.
This is me now, 195 pounds.
What can I say? Life Happened. It’s hard to take care of yourself when you’re caring for a loved one who needs progressively more care. Especially when you don’t want them to know they’re being, well, babysat. I’m please to say he didn’t seem to suspect it until close to the end.
A little over three years, in all, back-sliding bit by bit.
I started to skip my relatively easy workouts, calisthenics and light weights mostly.
Well, I can’t change what happened, but I can fix it.
So here goes.
The Isabody Challenge is a sixteen week Total Body Makeover, with some $200,000.00 in prizes up for grabs.
For my first day I started out a little light, well, I actually did my normal Thursday workout, about 20 minutes of light calisthenics and stretching. Followed by a fifteen mile round trip bike ride to the beach. Found out I need to be in better shape if I want to swim when I ride to the beach.
No big deal, it’ll come.
Working out and exercising are only part of the battle, and in my opinion less than half, maybe a third of the battle.
The biggest part of the weight management battle, is what you eat. And what you don’t. I try to never say “weight-loss”, ‘loss’ implies that you want back whatever it is you’re talking about.
Garbage In Garbage Out
Just like when you’re programming a computer, if you program garbage, you get garbage.
Look at the second picture, how does a man who doesn’t drink beer get a Beer Belly?
Junk Food was a part, but a smaller part than you may imagine. But a bigger problem is that the fresh vegetables we buy just do not have the nutrient content they had even ten years ago.You almost have to grow your own vegetables, if you have the time, land and skill.
I found another way, Isagenix.

Oh yeah, for my meals I’ve been using Isagenix Products, I came through a Wealth Creation Funnel so I don’t actually have a Weight Management System. What I do have is what my Sponsor called a ‘Vitality Pack’ a sampling of some core products.
- 2 cups Isagenix Coffee

- 1 Piece of Chocolate, if I need it.
For dinner I make a low glycemic plate, it’s supposed to be between 400 and 600 calories, I keep it as close as I can.

PS, I was supposed to start my Isabody Challenge on Tuesday, 7-5-16, but I dislike having my picture taken. I dragged my feet for two days, and dropped three pounds in the process.
