I was commenting on Ana Hoffman’s blog and thought of a post here that would go with it. I went to get the URL and was shocked and embarrassed at what I saw.
My face got warm and I think I blushed for the first time in years.
What was it?
An unanswered comment from over three months ago!
I don’t know what part was worse; the comment I made on Steve Shoemaker’s blog or that the unanswered comment was from Twila Jacobs, my most frequent commenter.
Call it even. I went and checked every one of my posts and found six more. I noticed something else that I’ll talk about later.
I plead ignorance, they were some of the first comments I ever got and at the time I didn’t know I was supposed to answer.
And I couldn’t think of anything to say to such awesome bloggers. I was simply amazed that they found any value here.
So I apologize to:
I didn’t mean to be rude, and they are answered now. Better late than never, I guess.
You might have gotten a chuckle if you saw my beet red face.
On the brighter side, I decided what to have for lunch, a piece of humble pie.
Do Not Be Denied,
Mike
Please leave a comment, I promise to answer, soon.

LOL, no need to apologize. I just thought you do like some that work full time and answer them all at once.
Then again, some don’t even answer at all..that is rude!
Have a good one!

You know, if I had been in a different frame of mind I might have thought, “next time” but I got caught up in a mental loop and it was either write it down or keep thinking about it.

Hi Michael,
I know how it feels. That exact same thing happened to me as well…And… I also didn’t know that I was supposed to reply to comments. Good thing I found Jason Better’s blog and he ‘enlightened’ me.
So, don’t feel bad. It happens. And most bloggers are very forgiving
Cheers,
Ilka

Hi Ilka,
It’s been said that experience is the best teacher, and it’s better to learn from someone else’s experience.
So I decided to put it out there so newer bloggers could that mistakes don’t have to be fatal, life goes on.
In fact, there’s only one unforgivably fatal mistake you can make in this business, to stop.
Everything else is a learning experience.
Mike
