We started last night’s Webcast by downloading Filezilla Client, well, I went through the motions for everyone to follow along with me, I already have it downloaded and installed.
To be honest, I could never figure out why some people think FTP, File Transfer Protocol, is difficult, what do you need?
- A Hosting Account, otherwise you have no place to transfer your files to.
- A File Transfer Protocol ,FTP, Program, Filezilla in this case.
- Files to be transferred.
See, it’s the last one that causes the confusion, creating files, that gives some people headaches.
I’ll cover HTML tonight, both by editing some PLR Pages, then by showing how to create a basic Lead Capture Page from scratch.
You should go, the people following along with my Webcasts will have built their own Paid Membership Site at the end of the 30 Day Webcast Challenge.
Recap - 30 Day Webcast Challenge
- Day One – We installed and configured a Blog on DarkHorseSuccess.com, a Domain I bought in July for a Project that didn’t pan out. It had just been redirecting to an Affiliate Program I’m involved in.
- Day Two – Well, Day Two was a misfire, the Free WordPress Plugin, s2Member, refused to install. Had to reschedule.
- Day Three – We went through how to edit a PLR Product from unzip to published Pages, complete with Partial Auto-Responder set up including, Creating a List,Creating an Opt In Form. Putting Opt In form On Edited Page.
- Days Four, Five, And Six were Homework Days.
- Day Seven - We installed s2Member, this time it worked!, on Dark Horse Success. Then we configured it up to the PayPal Option Tab, it isn’t very complicated, just sensitive information.
- Day Eight – We customised the Atahualpa Theme, including changing the Header, creating containers for the Widget Boxes, and a few other things.
- Day Nine – We went over FTP, basic stuff.
Tonight we’ll go over Kompozer, a Free HTML Editor.
Then you will have all the pieces you need to start marketing on-line.
